Back From the Dead (or, more appropriately, the Apple Store)

Apologies for the lengthy hiatus, I only just got my computer back yesterday (followed by a lengthy erase-and-reinstall process).  A quick update on the recent happenings:

  • Finished Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman; one of the best books I've read in a year or two.
  • Finished the sequel What Do You Care What Other People Think?; heavier, but still awesome.
  • Still working on Quantum Mechanics... it's amazing.  In the last week I've finally started to put the pieces together.  I think I'm close to the beginnings of my thesis.
  • Still working on studying for the Physics GRE.  Execution date is October the 18th.  ick.
  • Matt Blair & the guys (myself, Brooks, Dave, Sean, and Rich) have been hanging out at Logan Manor with Lee Hester scratching for a brand new Matt Blair (& Hammer Fist??!) record out in October.  "Killer jams, bro."
  • I am leaving later today for New Jersey for a week with Raff, Ed, Theo, and Bickerstaff.  We're playing a glorious week-long camp called "Fun In The Son" [sic].  And yes, it is a CHRISTian camp.
  • I have recently been listening to "The Edge 88.5" here in ILM.  The music is not good.  The DJs are not good.  The commercials are worse.  Yet somehow it's better than KLOVE... what does that say??
